goodbye fall, hello holidays!
This past Thursday, Lynny and I removed all the Halloween decor [tear] and began switching gears into Christmas in our booth. We have got two large green/white wagon wheels that we bought from the flea market and chose to hang one from the ceiling with silver mercury balls and holiday garland dangling down from the spokes. I LOVE those giant acorn ornaments. We've also got a whole lot of new furniture and smalls. Come check us out at Gaslamp Antique Mall! My apologies for the blurry pictures...

i and love and you
One year ago on Halloween weekend, my sweet fella called me his girlfriend for the first time. We had been spending a lot of time together and we were already quite good friends so it was bizarre and exciting to reach this point. One year later, I'm in the best relationship I've ever had with my best friend. To celebrate our togetherness, we've got tickets to The Avett Brothers tonight at the Ryman. I love their music and they way they scream and still make it sound so beautiful. Although Bill isn't as avid of a listener as I am, I'm excited to share the experience with him. Yay for a whole year.

fish tacos, jack white, and spruce
The other day, I met a few friends at Local Taco in Brentwood because I couldn't get the ridiculously delicious fish tacos out of my head. I had had them earlier in the week and, well, they're just that good. Whilst dining on the outdoor patio, I look up to see Jack White walking into the restaurant...and my eyes immediately began to water.
I've never had a hard time speaking with celebrities in the past but I've previously admitted that Jack would be the one person that would make me have a hard time. What do you say to Jack White? He's too cool - which makes my eyes water when he walks into a restaurant in which I'm currently located. Aside from the fact that I was too scared to look in his direction, it was exciting and, besides the fish tacos, it made my day.
But that wasn't the point of this posting - it just made my heart pound, and therefore: shareable. The point was to discuss what happened afterward. Afterwards, I walked over to my favorite Brentwood boutique called Spruce and decided that I should probably share it with the world because it is deee-lightful. It's located right off of Church Street in Brentwood and has a lot of the design aesthetics I would use in my own home if I had a million dollars...if i had a million dollarsssss [barenaked ladies...come on, people]. I loved these pillow and the ikat ottoman [pronounced eeee-cot not eye-cat].

i remember when we used to throw bridal showers...
I helped throw my first baby shower this weekend and it was a doozy. There were spread sheets and craft nights and truffles...my goodness. Needless to say, it is a mere reminder that I'm getting old. My friends are having babies. They're creating humans. It's strange and foreign to me but exciting to watch. I never thought I would enjoy watching my friend open onesies and diapers, but I found it all quite endearing. Here's to a new chapter in our lives.
wine. wagon wheels. zebras.
This Friday I had the absolute best day. It began with a trip to Arrington Vineyards for my first visit. I have to admit that, for a winery in the middle of Tennessee, not. that. bad. Obviously the views weren't equivilent to Napa Valley but the wine was unbelievably delicious. Carlye, Rachel and I sat on a picnic bench and finished a bottle of white and then moved on to a bottle of red. It was perfect...and so was the weather. Afterwards, we went to the flea market and I ended up buying two wagon wheels for The Burlap Rabbit. We were rushed because of how late we went in the day and I would have loved to stay for about 5 or 6 more hours. I love it there. Afterwards, we attended my highschool's Friday night football game to watch Carlye's beau ref the game. It was fun "boo-ing" the zebra. I love Fridays in the fall :)
